Be Atypical to Succeed in This Market

I hear all the time how we are in a down market.  I run into other Realtors, and hear them complain of the lack of business.  Meanwhile, we are so busy we’re working 7 days a week.  Don’t get me wrong, it’s not easy — we work HARD!  And I truly believe that’s one of the things that separates those of us at North Texas Home Finders from many other Realtors.

This isn’t meant to slam other Realtors.  I just get very frustrated when I hear stories from clients about experiences they’ve had with others.  It seems like “typical” Realtors are lumped in with used car salesmen and personal injury lawyers in the court of public opionion.  Unfortunately, the feeling may be pretty close to accurate.  Many people in our industry lived like fat cats in the hot, hot market, didn’t work hard, didn’t really work all that hard, and didn’t provide excellent client service.  Now those same people are struggling in a market where hard work is a requirement, not a choice.

North Texas Home Finders is adopting a new motto/slogan:  “NOT Your Typical Realtors!”.  I think that sums it up perfectly.  We work hard for our clients.  We truly represent the best interest of our clients.  We are ethical.  We are moral.  We have great work ethic.  We expect our agents to provide a level of service that EXCEEDS our clients expectations.  We do all those things because we believe in all those things, and because of that, we will be successful in any type of market.  If you don’t believe me, give me a call and I’ll put you in touch with one of our clients…they are what keep us going, and their compliments are all we need as the ultimate motivation to be different!
